Translate video to Punjabi
Upload a video in any supported language and get a Punjabi version back with the spoken track replaced. VoisLabs transcribes the original audio, translates it into Punjabi (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ), and regenerates the voice, so viewers in Amritsar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh hear the video in their own language rather than reading subtitles over a foreign one. A large home and diaspora audience sustains steady demand for Punjabi audio versions. Gurmukhi is tonal in a way Devanagari is not; Punjabi tone distinctions change meaning and are the first thing a non-native engine loses. That is the difference between a Punjabi track that passes as native across Punjab, India and one that is audibly machine-made — and it is why VoisLabs is tuned for Indian phonetics rather than adapted from a Western dubbing engine. Use a studio Punjabi voice, or clone your own and keep your delivery in a language you do not speak.
How to translate a video to Punjabi
- 1
Upload the video
Drop in an MP4 or paste a link. The Punjabi dub keeps your original music and effects: speech is separated from the rest of the mix before anything is regenerated, so the score under your narration survives.
- 2
Review the Punjabi script
The translated script is editable before a word is spoken. Names, product terms and numbers are what machine translation gets wrong most often, and in Punjabi they are also what a listener notices first.
- 3
Generate and export
Pick a studio Punjabi voice or your own clone, then download WAV or MP3 for your timeline. SRT and VTT captions come from the same script if you want subtitles alongside the dub.
What makes Punjabi dubbing hard
The Punjabi pronunciation problem
Gurmukhi encodes tone in a way Devanagari does not, and tone distinctions are the first thing a non-native engine drops. A general-purpose engine treats Punjabi as one more locale in a dropdown; the result is intelligible but audibly not native, which is the difference between a viewer staying and a viewer leaving.
Timing that survives translation
Punjabi rarely takes the same number of syllables as the source language to say the same thing. VoisLabs paces the regenerated track against the original timing so the dub still lands with the picture instead of drifting out of sync.
One voice across every language
Clone your voice once and it narrates Punjabi too. A channel that sounds like a different presenter in each language reads as a re-upload; keeping your own voice is what makes the Punjabi cut feel like yours.
Who publishes in Punjabi
Short-form first — reels, ads and promos
Across company accounts on VoisLabs, 61% of finished audio runs under a minute and 97% under three minutes. Punjabi work follows the same shape: short assets, made often, re-cut whenever the brief changes.
Music commentary, agriculture, diaspora vlogs
These are the verticals actually publishing Punjabi audio today. A large home and diaspora audience sustains steady demand for Punjabi audio versions. A dubbed track opens an existing library to that audience without re-shooting or rebooking a presenter.
Reaching viewers who skip subtitles
Subtitles ask a viewer to read while watching. A Punjabi audio track asks nothing, which is why dubbed cuts hold watch time that subtitled ones lose. Longer training and course material is a smaller, steadier share of the same workload.
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ — Punjabi output
Punjabi output is generated in ਪੰਜਾਬੀ script for Punjab, India.

Frequently asked questions
How do I translate a video to Punjabi?
Upload the video, review the auto-generated Punjabi script, pick a voice, and export. Background music and effects are preserved — only the speech is replaced.
Is the Punjabi voice natural?
Yes. VoisLabs uses Punjabi voices tuned for Punjab, India rather than repurposed foreign voices. Gurmukhi is tonal in a way Devanagari is not; Punjabi tone distinctions change meaning and are the first thing a non-native engine loses.
Can I dub into Punjabi in my own voice?
Yes. Clone your voice once from a short recording and use it as the Punjabi narrator, so your channel keeps one recognisable voice across languages.
Are there Indian-language voices beyond this one?
Yes — English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi and Gujarati, in either direction.
Can I pay with UPI?
Yes. UPI, cards, net banking and wallets are supported, and international cards work if you are paying from outside India. Packs start at ₹299 for 18 min, with 2 min free to try first.
Can I use this from outside India?
Yes. Creators and studios outside India use it to open content to Punjab, India. Checkout accepts international cards, and the Punjabi voices target listeners in India rather than a diaspora accent.
Do I get subtitles too?
Yes — SRT and VTT captions export from the same Punjabi script, so you can ship dubbed audio and subtitles together.
Production experience behind this tool
Who already makes Indian-language audio here
307 organisations have signed up on a company domain and 216 of them are actively producing audio — 1,163 voice-overs across 11 Indian languages as of August 2026. The heaviest users are marketing and content agencies, followed by universities and research institutes, SaaS companies, healthcare and pharmaceutical teams, IT consultancies and one global localisation provider. Marathi and Hindi lead the regional mix after English.
We dub production work on this engine, not just demos
The voice stack behind VoisLabs dubbing has delivered commercial work, including a 6 minute 47 second medical-device training film for a leading Indian pharmaceutical company — 69 lines of dialogue across two female voices, dubbed into Hindi and delivered to the production studio cutting the final edit. That job set the constraints this product is built around.
What clinical content taught us about trimming
On medical scripts a line cannot be shortened to fit a timing slot: altered clinical meaning is not an acceptable trade for a tidier mix. We fit takes against the window between one line and the next rather than against each line in isolation, which is why apparent overruns usually are not overruns at all — of 22 lines that looked over budget on that film, only 9 genuinely overran.
A measured finding: TTS engines pad silence
Gemini TTS appends roughly half a second of head and tail silence to every take — 35.4 seconds across 69 takes on that project. A mix that counts padding as speech will compress and trim real dialogue to make room for silence. Stripping head and tail silence before mixing dropped overruns from 18 to 4 and removed the need to speed any audio up. We strip it per-edge rather than globally, because a blanket silence filter also flattens the intentional dramatic pauses the acting direction depends on.

How organisations use VoisLabs
Observed usage patterns from company-domain accounts. Anonymised — sector, language and scale only, never a customer name.
A content marketing agency
English and Marathi
The heaviest user on the platform, past 600 voice-overs, running English and Marathi almost equally. Agency work means many short pieces for different end clients rather than a few long ones, so re-generating a line after a client note matters more than raw output length.
A national engineering institute
Hindi
Produces Hindi audio for teaching and research material. Entirely single-language, which is the pattern for academic users: one target audience, one language, consistent voice across a course.
A South Indian technical college
Tamil
Tamil audio for coursework, in the register students actually speak rather than literary Tamil. Volume clusters around term dates.
A healthcare platform
English and Marathi
Patient-facing explainers in English with Marathi versions for regional reach. Clinical wording is fixed copy, so the constraint is a voice that reads precise terminology cleanly rather than one that performs.
A global language-services company
Hindi
Uses the Hindi voices as part of a wider localisation workflow — the audio layer inside a pipeline that already handles translation and review elsewhere.
A brand and digital agency
Kannada and Telugu
South Indian language voice-overs for client campaigns, where the brief is usually a regional cut of an English original.
A global professional-services firm
English and Hindi
Internal communication and training audio, English-first with Hindi versions.
Logistics and B2B SaaS teams
Hindi
Hindi audio for product walkthroughs and driver- or operator-facing instructions, where the listener is on a phone and not reading.
