Voice cloning — FAQs
Is voice cloning free?
No — voice cloning is a paid feature, available on the Creator plan (₹799, 3 cloned voices) or Studio (₹2,499, unlimited cloned voices), both one-time purchases. You can try VoisLabs’ regular library voices for free first (one-time, no credit card) to hear the voice quality before you buy.
How long a voice sample do I need to clone my voice?
About 10 seconds of clear speech is all it takes — the recorder stops at 12. Record in a quiet room with a decent mic and natural delivery — input quality decides clone quality. See our voice cloning best-practices guide for tips.
Which Indian languages can I clone a voice in?
VoisLabs supports voice cloning across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Assamese and Indian English — all optimised for Indian-language pronunciation.
Is voice cloning legal? Do I need consent?
Clone only your own voice, or a voice you have explicit permission to use. Cloning someone else’s voice without consent is prohibited. VoisLabs requires you to confirm consent before creating a clone.
Can I use cloned-voice audio commercially?
Yes. Audio you generate with your cloned voice is royalty-free for commercial use — YouTube, podcasts, ads and more. No attribution required.
How much does voice cloning cost?
Voice cloning starts on the Creator plan at ₹799 — 3 cloned voices, usable across every supported language. For unlimited cloned voices, upgrade to Studio at ₹2,499. Both are one-time purchases, not a subscription.
Can my cloned voice speak other Indian languages?
Yes — cloning is cross-lingual. Record one ~10-second sample in English and your cloned voice can generate narration in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Assamese and Indian English, no extra recording needed per language. (Gujarati is not supported for cloning.)
Is there a free voice cloning trial?
There’s no free trial of cloning itself — it’s a paid feature from ₹799. What is free is VoisLabs’ one-time 2-minute allowance on library voices (no credit card required), so you can hear our voice quality before deciding to clone your own.
